About The Change Champions
The Change Champions is an educational website about perimenopause, written for women in the United States and Canada. We explain what research and major health organizations say, in plain English, and we make practical tools to help you track what is changing and prepare for conversations with your own doctor.
Our tagline is our method: Track. Understand. Prepare. Practical tools for the years nobody prepared you for.
This website is not medical advice. Everything on The Change Champions is general educational information only. It is not a diagnosis, treatment, or substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional who knows your history.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency department straight away.
What we do
We publish calm, practical guides to perimenopause: what it is, the symptoms it can bring, sleep, mood, periods, treatment options, nutrition, exercise and how to be heard at appointments. Each guide answers one main question, lists the sources it drew on and says when a symptom needs prompt medical attention.
We also make free tools: a symptom dictionary describing 40 symptoms in plain English, a three-minute symptom check-in that gives you a summary to take to your doctor, a free 7-Day Reset Starter Kit and a weekly email.
Who it is for
Our readers are mostly women in their late 30s to mid-50s in the US and Canada who have noticed changes and want to understand them: periods that no longer make sense, waking at 3am, hot flashes, brain fog, new anxiety, or feeling unlike themselves.
We write in US English and follow guidance from North American health organizations. In the US and Canada, call 911 in an emergency, and call or text 988 (the Suicide Crisis Helpline in Canada; the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US) if you are in a mental-health crisis.
What we are not
We are an educational and informational website, not a medical practice. The Change Champions team are not clinicians, and nothing on this site is clinical or medical advice.
- We don't diagnose. Our check-in and trackers help you organize what you notice; only a clinician who examines you can say what is causing your symptoms.
- We don't prescribe. We describe treatment options in general terms, and we never give doses or tell anyone to start or stop a medicine.
- We don't replace your doctor. Our goal is to help you walk into an appointment prepared, with your symptoms written down and your questions ready.
Where our information comes from
Our articles are based on published guidance and research from organizations including The Menopause Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the National Institutes of Health, the Office on Women's Health, the CDC and the FDA. Every article lists its sources.
For readers in Canada, guidance from the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (menopauseandu.ca) and information from the Menopause Foundation of Canada cover how care and coverage work where you live.

The Change Champions team
Our articles are written and published by The Change Champions team. Each one carries the byline "The Change Champions team" and the date it was last updated. We check every factual claim against current sources before publishing and update articles when guidance changes.
Our products
We sell one product of our own, The Complete Perimenopause Toolkit: printable guides, trackers, planners and recipe books. Like everything on this site, it is educational and doesn't diagnose or treat anything. Our articles stay separate from it.
